In 2024, Lundin Golf Club took a proactive step towards sustainability by seeking innovative solutions to reduce bunker maintenance costs.
The goal is to enhance the overall golf experience while also being mindful of environmental impact. EcoBunker has been awarded the project to improve the bunkers at Lundin Golf Club.
Generally speaking, traditional club bunkers require replacement every two to three years. In contrast, EcoBunker boasts a remarkable guaranteed lifespan of 20 years.
This longevity makes it a valuable investment, especially for those who may initially view it as costly.
Additionally, opting for EcoBunker or a similar solution means you’ll need to replace the sand in your bunkers less frequently than traditional methods.

An option to consider is grass bunkers. Grass bunkers with machine mowable slopes of less than 33% are less expensive to maintain than their sand counterparts.
