In 2024, Troon retained itself as the largest golf club management company globally, successfully managing a remarkable network of 610 18-hole equivalent golf courses across its various brands.
Invited manages 175 golf courses, and KemperSports, with 137 courses, are significantly behind Troon in terms of the number of courses they operate.

Since October 2022, Cabot has overseen the strategy and operations of four exceptional golf courses across the United States through its affiliate, CDN Golf Management.
This hospitality golf company supports the U.S. branch of The Cabot Collection.
CDN properties have transitioned to Cabot management, and the following clubs now officially join The Cabot Collection as a distinct portfolio:
- Cascata Golf Club and Rio Secco Golf Club (has a par-72 Rees Jones-designed golf course) in Las Vegas, Nevada
- Grand Bear Golf Club in Saucier, Mississippi – Jack Nicklaus designed the golf course.
- Chariot Run Golf Club in Laconia, Indiana
Cabot Collection is committed to nurturing a people-centered culture while prioritizing innovation and continuous improvement across all its properties.
Under the leadership of CEO Ben Cowan-Dewar, recognized as one of the top golf developers globally, Cabot Collection boasts four courses that appear on Golf Magazine’s esteemed Top 100 Courses in the World list.

Employee wellbeing
When I read about Cabot Collection’s CEO aiming for a people-centered approach, the concept of employee well-being came to mind.
I envision a corporate culture that prioritizes its people, where the employer focuses on:
- Employees’ mental health. Mental health support should be a standard provision within your organization. E.g., initiatives for burnout prevention and training designed to enhance resilience.
- Financial wellness is crucial. Rising costs have led employees to seek salary transparency, student loan assistance, and financial coaching.
- Flexibility is crucial. Hybrid working, personalized schedules, and time control are essential. See ClubUp‘s solution.
- Monitor absenteeism, stress levels, and engagement scores to implement real-time adjustments.
Employee experience personalization
It is essential to recognize that each employee has unique goals, needs, and expectations.
By tailoring the employee experience to each golf club employee’s individual requirements, we can create a more inclusive and supportive work environment that fosters growth and satisfaction.
In reality, it means:
- Job-specific engagement strategies.
- Real-time employee recognition that actually matters.
- Employee experience managers require leadership training. The skills needed to lead frontline teams differ significantly from those necessary to manage back-office teams.
