A few weeks ago, I was thrilled to receive an invitation from 54, the communications agency for Details – Hospitality, Sports, Leisure. They invited me on a FAM trip to Vilamoura Golf.
As a passionate admirer of Portugal and its remarkable golfing landscape, I couldn’t resist.
The driving force behind my acceptance was my eager curiosity about the evolution and enhancements within the Vilamoura Golf portfolio since Details assumed management.
I returned home from Vilamoura today, and I’m eager to share the inspiring impressions and insights I gathered during my stay.
Details Hospitality is committed to the ongoing development and improvement of the Vilamoura Golf portfolio. It focuses on restoring its former glory while modernizing the golf courses and services.
A great example of this is the ‘How Many Strokes‘ digital information board. This solution has received enthusiastic feedback from visitors, highlighting its effectiveness in enhancing their experience.
At Millennium and the Old Course, the boards are positioned in a remarkable location that will undoubtedly capture your attention.
I noticed some interesting differences in how the golf courses within the Vilamoura Golf portfolio are positioned.
For instance, Millennium Vilamoura seems to cater more to families and groups, creating a welcoming atmosphere for all ages. In contrast, the Old Course appears to target a more premium audience, offering a different level of experience.
Similarly, Laguna Golf Course is also family-friendly, while Pinhal Golf Course serves as a bridge between these two approaches.
It would be great to get insights from the Details Hospitality marketing team to better understand these distinctions.

I’m thrilled to share my renewed perspective on the clubhouse’s interior design! The transformation is absolutely remarkable, and I can’t help but notice how revitalizing the space has become.
Initially, I expressed longing for that charming Portuguese vibe and the use of natural materials in the renovated clubhouse of the Old Course.
But now, I’m blown away by how perfectly they’ve captured the proportions and style.
Stepping inside feels like a captivating journey back to 1969, the very year it opened, while still being surrounded by all the modern touches.
It’s an exhilarating blend of nostalgia and contemporary flair!
Details matter!
If you take a trip here, prepare to be blown away by the incredible design and renovations! From the perfectly paved concrete roads to the impressive bunker and the artfully shaped trees, every detail has been carefully crafted.
In 2025, having a navigation device in the golf cart might not be headline news anymore, but I’m still thrilled about it!
The direction signs on the course are spot on and super easy to spot. And wait until you check out the driving range – it features cutting-edge Trackman technology! How exciting is that?
Speaking of details, when you walk into the Old Course clubhouse, you step into the pro shop, similar to duty-free shops at airports.
