How will Alba’s new CCO grow the company’s global presence?

By: August 7, 2025

The global indoor golf simulator industry is valued at USD 1.4–1.9 billion in 2024–2025, depending on how “indoor golf” is defined, with forecasts projecting substantial growth through the late 2020s.

Fortune Business Insights estimates the global indoor golf market is sized at USD 1.74 billion in 2024, forecasted to grow from USD 1.92 billion in 2025 to USD 3.95 billion by 2032 — CAGR ~10.9%

The Asia-Pacific region is the fastest-growing, particularly in South Korea, China, and Japan, driven by compact formats and rising disposable income.

North America held probably the largest share in 2024 (~40–46%), driven by commercial entertainment venues and home installations.

Alba Mike Pennick CCO

I’m not at all surprised by this trend. In the U.S., off-course participation—encompassing driving ranges, simulators, and vibrant entertainment venues like Topgolf—thrilled 36.2 million participants in 2024, marking a remarkable 55% increase since 2019 and proudly surpassing on-course numbers of 28.1 million.

This momentum has surged into 2025, fueled by all major golfer demographics—especially youths, women, millennials, and people of color—who are igniting a new era in golf.

Millennials and Gen Z are leading the charge, embracing off-course golf with a focus on mental wellness, community, and convenience as powerful motivators.

Given his background, it is understandable that Mike Pennick, who previously worked in senior sales and marketing roles at Google, Expedia, and AutoStore, took on the role of Chief Commercial Officer at Alba.

But what exactly is Alba?
