Dr. Morris brings over 30 years of experience in turfgrass science and amenity horticulture, and he is poised to make significant contributions to the advancement of sustainable practices in golf agronomy.
A recognized leader in the global turf industry, Dr. Morris joins The R&A from Syngenta Professional Solutions, where he excelled as the Technical Services Manager for Australia and New Zealand.

His impressive career includes 15 years as a Golf Course Superintendent, during which he effectively managed diverse turfgrass systems across public, private, and resort courses in Australia, Fiji, and Indonesia.
Dr. Morris’s extensive expertise also encompasses oversight of Australia’s Top 100-ranked golf courses, major racetracks, and international football stadiums utilized for televised events.
He holds a PhD in Turfgrass Science and Breeding, and he has been at the forefront of innovation in academic, commercial, and R&D sectors.
His pioneering work has led to the development of groundbreaking turf solutions, including novel chemistry, biological products, and surfactant technologies.
An engaging speaker, Dr. Morris frequently shares his valuable insights on turf management at conferences worldwide, highlighting his commitment to advancing the field.
