In many cases, I witness the inspiring impact of sustainability best practices, exemplified by the recently GEO Certified Yas Links Abu Dhabi and Yas Acres Golf & Country Club:
- Sensor-based, ET-driven irrigation systems coupled with drought-resistant grasses.
- Solar‑powered facilities (e.g. panels on clubhouses and charging stations), electric maintenance equipment, and cart fleets.
- Habitat restoration projects, such as native wildflower planting, wetlands, pollinator zones, and wildlife corridors.
- Programs promoting player engagement include “green days,” refillable bottle stations, and carbon-impact tracking apps.
GEO Certified: Yas Links Abu Dhabi & Yas Acres Golf & Country Club
Both Yas Links Abu Dhabi and Yas Acres Golf & Country Club have been commended for their exemplary commitment to environmental stewardship, effective resource management, and active community involvement.
At Yas Links Abu Dhabi, initiatives such as
