Jebsen & Jessen Technology – Turf & Irrigation, a division of the Technology business unit of the diversified industrial conglomerate Jebsen & Jessen Group, has been awarded a 5-year contract to provide equipment, resources, and expertise for the recently renovated 18-hole The Island Course at The Singapore Island Country Club (SICC).
In this initiative, Jebsen & Jessen Technology – Turf & Irrigation will collaborate with Troon International, Toro, and Eng Swee Thye Engineering to ensure comprehensive maintenance and enhancement of
- The Island Course,
- including the Rotunda practice putting greens located at the Club’s Island premises.
This collaborative, integrated approach will incorporate the latest advancements in turf maintenance equipment and irrigation systems, combined with expertise in golf course management and maintenance services, thereby ensuring optimal conditions for the course and its users.
The Island Course
The newly redesigned Island Course, skillfully developed by the esteemed golf course design firm Nelson & Haworth, retains the essence of 1920s-1930s-style golf courses while incorporating refinements that enhance the playing experience for both members and guests.
Thoughtfully crafted for golfers, the introduction of
- sand capping,
- a contemporary irrigation system,
- improved grass species facilitate better drainage, playing conditions, and walkability,
- thereby elevating the overall experience for all Singapore Island Country Club (SICC) members and guests.
