At the Swiss Golf Awards 2024, the Golf Club Bad Ragaz earned two important awards:
- The “gladys” restaurant has been recognized as the Best Golf Restaurant in Switzerland for the 6th consecutive year. Under the leadership of Chef Simon Rusch, it continues to be a preferred choice among the Swiss golf community. The restaurant will reopen in anticipation of the upcoming season commencing on March 28.
- Best 18-Hole Course in Switzerland: Golf Club Bad Ragaz is a member of two exclusive golf communities such as “Leading Golf Courses of Switzerland” and “World of Leading Golf“.

The 18-hole championship course at Golf Club Bad Ragaz has hosted the Swiss Seniors Open since 1997.
Scheduled to take place from July 11 to 13, 2025, this prestigious event will mark the 29th occasion in which the most prominent professional golf tournament in the German-speaking regions of Switzerland will showcase world-class golf in Bad Ragaz.
This will mark the final tournament on the esteemed course’s greens. From September 2025 until spring 2026, all greens on the championship course will undergo a comprehensive redevelopment to comply with contemporary standards.
An investment totaling 2.5 million Swiss francs is allocated for this significant renovation.

Professional awards as a social proof
Professional awards, such as the Swiss Golf Awards, can provide various benefits, including enhanced credibility, increased employee morale, new business opportunities, and additional support for business initiatives.
However, it is essential to determine which awards are most worth pursuing.
I recommend researching to identify the most prestigious awards within the golf industry. Adopting a strategic approach to the awards process ensures that time is utilized effectively.
Recognizing that your golf club’s reputation and prominence within the market significantly impact your guests’ decision-making is advantageous.
Customer reviews and industry experts’ opinions still matter a lot in 2025.
