The Leading Courses Golfers’ Choice Awards 2025 results were announced yesterday, and I took a moment to check out the Spanish list.
Among the standout golf resorts and clubs, the TOP 5 included some impressive selections:
- Real Club Valderrama (9.3)
- Real Club de la Puerta de Hierro (9.3)
- Finca Cortesin (9.2)
- La Zagaleta (9.2)
- Real Club de Golf La Penaza (9.0)
La Reserva Club finished strong in sixth place but was shy of making the list. This demonstrates their potential for even more remarkable achievements in the future.

Two of the previously mentioned golf clubs, along with two others, will relaunch ‘Spain’s Finest Golf Package’ for 2026.
This exclusive package grants access to:
- Real Club Valderrama: 1997 Ryder Cup host venue and current LIV Golf Andalucia host.
- Real Club Sotogrande: Home to the DP World Tour’s Estrella Damm Andalucia Masters.
- La Reserva Club: Recent host venue for Ladies European Tour’s Aramco Team Series.
- Finca Cortesin: 2023 Solheim Cup host venue.
The ‘Spain’s Finest Golf Package’ includes one round at each course, complete with shared buggy and access to the driving ranges 45 minutes before each tee time.
Bookings are now open for the 2026 season.
Andalucia – tourism statistics & forecast
Andalucía is preparing for the anticipated influx of 37 million tourists this year. The region experienced a successful 2024, attracting 36.2 million visitors.
On average, each tourist spent approximately 82 euros per day, reflecting a 5.5% increase compared to 2023 and a significant 23% increase relative to 2019.
The Minister of Tourism for the region, Arturo Bernal, has projected that visitor expenditures will generate €30 billion in revenue by the year 2025.
This forecast is predicated upon consistent growth in tourist arrivals and an anticipated increase in spending per visitor.
