For years now, I’ve recognized a significant opportunity that golf clubs are overlooking: the potential to elevate the experience by enabling food and beverage orders directly from golf carts.

I assumed that if Greg Norman’s ‘Shark Experience‘ service (in 2017!!) could be created, then why not have a service that makes ordering food and drinks on golf courses easier?

By overcoming the technological challenges, which are manageable for those acquainted with platforms like DoorDash or Just Eat, we can unlock new possibilities and revenues for our pro shop’s products on a similar platform.

In 2015, Bevnow launched a similar service for golf clubs, demonstrating a proactive approach to enhancing the industry. Jeff Kelley, the Founder and CEO of Bevnow, articulated his solution in a guest article, offering valuable insights for others to consider.

I found another solution for F&B ordering: Tagmarshal’s 2Way screens.

The GPS-enabled mobile ordering platform ClubGrub, established in 2020, embodies a powerful solution to overcome the challenges we face.

Under the terms of the agreement, members and guests are now afforded the convenience of ordering food and beverages from any location on the property, including all 18 holes, with delivery occurring within minutes and accompanied by real-time location tracking.

This integration streamlines the ordering process by eliminating the need for phone orders, thereby reducing delays in the pace of play and enhancing the club’s five-star hospitality experience.
