The VP Bank Swiss Ladies Open takes pride in being Switzerland’s premier professional women’s golf tournament, recognized as a key event on the Ladies European Tour calendar since its reintroduction in 2020.
It enjoys a substantial global presence, with live broadcasts reaching over 80–100 countries and attracting approximately half a million viewers each year, which enhances its significance in the sport.
Pioneering sustainability efforts, it is the first LET tournament in Continental Europe to achieve GEO Certified® status, demonstrating a strong commitment to environmental and social responsibility.

Additionally, the tournament supports the development of Swiss talent by offering wildcards and valuable exposure to emerging athletes, reinforcing its dedication to the growth of women’s golf in the region.
Golf constitutes one of the three central pillars of VP Bank’s sponsorship portfolio, alongside music and culinary arts. Each of these areas is designed to provide platforms for talented and ambitious young individuals, while also establishing an emotional connection with the bank’s clients.
Engagement with Women’s Golf & Inclusive Sponsorship
Banks are increasingly championing women’s golf, leading a transformative movement in the sport. Ally Financial stepped up as the presenting sponsor of the U.S. Women’s Open, elevating the purse to a historic $12 million and becoming a vital partner of USGA events.
HSBC continues to make a significant impact by supporting women’s tournaments, with a long-term commitment to the Women’s Open and as a patron of The Open through 2027.
This reflects a broader industry movement dedicated to fostering women’s sports, a tangible embodiment of DEIB and ESG values.

Sponsorships now resonate with purpose and align with tournaments that highlight sustainability and community benefits, especially in regions where lasting relationships are forged.
Beyond just elite exposure, banks are paving the way for greater accessibility in golf.
Bank of America’s “Golf with Us” program offers free celebrity clinics for kids. It provides youth access to golfing for under $5 per round at thousands of courses—a strategic initiative to nurture community goodwill and ignite the passion of future players.
It is now evident that the golf sponsorship by VP Bank aligns with prevailing international trends.
