In 2025, engaged employees are those who recognize the profound connection between their work and a brighter future, both for their own careers and for the world at large.

Organizations that exceed employee expectations are mastering the essentials:

  • supporting individuals through change,
  • fulfilling compensation needs,
  • valuing their ideas, and
  • ensuring that managerial behaviors align with stated values.

A growing number of organizations worldwide are embracing solutions that empower them to harness the moments that truly matter, uncover the most relevant topics and trends, and act swiftly to create experiences that propel their teams and the organization toward success.

The key to unlocking productivity lies in alleviating unnecessary burdens on the workforce today.

Mid Ocean Club Investors in People

Cultures and processes that empower employees to adapt to evolving customer needs, coupled with a commitment to continuously enhancing how work is done, stand out as the foremost drivers of engagement in 2025.

I recently discovered a remarkable private golf club that embraces the evolving landscape of employee experience.

Meet the Platinum Level Criteria

Each of the nine indicators is assessed at four levels of maturity:

  • Developed (basic good practice)
  • Established (consistent, embedded practice)
  • Advanced (strong, proactive practice)
  • High Performing (world-class, benchmark-setting practice)

To achieve Platinum, the company must demonstrate that:

  • It meets all 9 indicators at least at the “Advanced” level, and
  • At least 7 of them at “High Performing” level.
The IIP assessor concluded Mid Ocean Club had demonstrated:
  • Maturity and evolution of the organization over the past three years.
  • Recent leadership changes have brought innovation and cohesion across departments.
  • The diverse workforce, including 15 nationalities, fosters global perspectives and collaboration.
  • A strong sense of trust and confidence in the leadership has created a stable and progressive environment.

In the assessment process, the club, which boasts a Golf Digest World Top 100 Golf Course, compiled a 542-page submission report along with surveys that effectively showcase how it has successfully met a range of key indicators.

The assessment highlighted the significance of sustainability as the business initiates a major clubhouse refurbishment.

This project is part of a long-term master plan aimed at ensuring that club amenities are future-ready and meet evolving needs.

This was not the first time The Mid Ocean Club Bermuda succeeded at the Investors in People awards. In 2022, they were shortlisted in three categories:

  • Overseas Employer of the Year (Gold),
  • HR Person of the Year, and
  • Young Person of the Year.
