How will Pinnacle Distance show its benefits as the official golf ball of the World Long Drive?

By: March 20, 2025

Great news for budget-conscious golfers! The new Pinnacle Distance golf balls launched on March 15th, and they’re incredibly affordable at just $19.99 for a pack of 15.

Pinnacle boasts a strong reputation for providing durable, distance-driven balls without straining your wallet.

While many golfers may recognize their Rush and Softballs, it’s interesting that Pinnacle is part of the Acushnet family, the same team behind Titleist.

Pinnacle has strategically aligned its sponsorship with the World Long Drive Tour, seizing a fantastic opportunity. The event will take place in Mesquite, Nevada, from March 21 to 23.

This partnership will recognize Pinnacle Distance as the official golf ball for World Long Drive events, launch the Pinnacle Series, and introduce long-drive professionals as Pinnacle Ambassadors.

Pinnacle Distance golf balls are available immediately in golf shops.

Pinnacle Series

The Pinnacle Series will feature the Bluff City Shootout in Arlington, Tennessee, from August 1 to 3 and the Rocky Mountain Rumble in LaSalle, Colorado, from August 15 to 17.

Sean Johnson, the reigning 2024 World Long Drive Champion, and Jack Smith, the current World No. 4, will be the official Pinnacle Ambassadors for the 2025 season!

What justifies sponsorship?

In late 2023 and early 2024, Pinnacle undertook a research initiative focused on the golfer demographic, engaging directly with participants to gain insights into the distance/value segment.

This interaction revealed that golfers within this category prioritize high-quality, consistent, yet cost-effective golf balls.

From a performance standpoint, their primary emphasis is on maximizing distance relative to other attributes.

In alignment with the strategic vision, the decision was made to rebrand the Pinnacle Rush—a long-distance golf ball known for its quality and consistency at a price point below $20—as a singular model named Pinnacle Distance.

This rebranding initiative consolidates both the Pinnacle Rush and Pinnacle Soft into one product. The Pinnacle Distance will be produced at Acushnet Company’s Ball Plant 2 located in New Bedford, Massachusetts.
