What better proof that BIG MAX golf bags are truly waterproof?

By: June 13, 2025

BIG MAX has crafted an impressive and credible creative concept that showcases the true waterproof nature of their golf bags.

In the exciting “Aqua Falls” campaign, we previously witnessed their bags being tested in canyoning.

Now, we’re inspired by wakeboard champion Niko Juric and professional foil surfer Martin Dürrschmid as they put the BIG MAX golf bags to the test in challenging wet conditions.

A collaboration with Red Bull could further elevate the message, solidifying the durability and waterproof capabilities of these remarkable golf bags.

BIG MAX set itself three challenges to prove the bag’s ultimate resilience:

  • Water resistance under full submersion: By submerging the product in a lake and subjecting it to repeated water exposure during extended wet sessions, BIG MAX effectively pushed the waterproofing to its limits, allowing it to thoroughly evaluate its performance and durability.
  • Performance in motion: The bags feature a lightweight design and ergonomic carrying systems that ensure they remain secure and comfortable, preventing any chafing or stretching. Their stability is particularly commendable, as they hold steady during airborne stunts and high-impact landings.
  • Durability under pressure: The specially developed AQUA material was not only exposed to water but also to severe mechanical strain. Pressure, motion, and friction were tested at every seam and join.

Even after being drenched with water and facing the challenge of dripping dividers, these bags emerged triumphantly!

They dried completely without even a hint of swelling or warping, proving their durability and resilience.

The zippers slid smoothly, and the carrying systems functioned perfectly, making the bags feel as vibrant and fresh as they did on the day they were first introduced.

An impressive performance that showcases their unbeatable quality!

Good to know!

Not all “waterproof” bags are created equal! When you read ‘waterproof,’ the product prevents water from entering, even when submerged.

Waterproof bags often have welded or taped seams and waterproof zippers.

Some companies highlight the IPX rating (Industrial standard; Lab-tested: IPX5 to IPX8): e.g., IPX7 = 1m submersion for 30 mins.

I have not found the IP rating on the BIG MAX website, but if you do, then you can test against that using standardized test conditions.
