I find myself resonating with Titleist’s vision. On Monday, I shared a remarkable Swiss putter called myvicto, designed with helpful alignment lines.
The idea of Alignment Integrated Markings on Titleist golf balls has been inspiring players since 2007, beginning with the innovative alignment features introduced on the Pro V1 sidestamp.
The new AIM 360 design represents another step forward in Titleist’s commitment to innovation within the Alignment Integrated Marking (AIM) product lineup, which includes:
- Pro V1,
- Pro V1x, and
- Pro V1x Left Dash Performance Alignment and
- Enhanced Alignment golf balls.
The all-new AIM 360 AVX and Tour Soft golf balls are the first models introduced by Titleist to feature a full 360-degree marking.
To assess their design concepts, the Research and Development team at Titleist Golf Balls conducted a controlled evaluation to determine the enhancement in alignment accuracy.
The results indicated that each of the three AIM products demonstrated an improvement in alignment precision of up to 35% when compared to the standard Pro V1 sidestamp.
My comments
My inner devil suggests they could have figured this out without a test. Also, why did we have to wait so long for the 360-degree marking?
