I must admit, I wasn’t particularly familiar with Swedish tailoring until I researched it. It turns out, Swedish tailoring has a unique vibe all its own!
It’s different from the precise cuts of Savile Row or the stylish softness you find in Italian ateliers.
Instead, it combines Scandinavian minimalism with a practical touch, resulting in a style that’s clean, understated, and totally modern. It’s pretty cool!
Here are some of its hallmarks:
- Swedish tailoring avoids excessive ornamentation, sticking to sleek lines and neutral tones.
- The emphasis is on wearability in everyday life, not just formality.
- Practical, durable fabrics are standard (wool, cotton blends, technical fabrics) suited for a colder, wetter climate.
- Shades of navy, charcoal, black, beige, and muted earth tones dominate. Occasionally accented with deep greens or burgundy, but always restrained. In Oscar Jacobson’s new AW25 Collection, you will find deep green.
- Jackets and coats often have a slightly more contemporary silhouette than traditional British tailoring.

I recognized the unique elements of Swedish tailoring in Oscar Jacobson‘s Fall/Winter 2025 collection.
Oscar Jacobson‘s Fall/Winter 2025 collection
With performance fabrics, new colorways, and fashion-inspired designs, the Oscar Jacobson look is more premium than ever.
At the core of the new collection is the Pineneedle colourway, a rich green that brings fashion inspiration to the fairway.
Key styles enhanced by this autumnal hue include the Bullock and Bullock Tour, the fashion-inspired Westland and Westland sleeveless, the Johnstone and Johnstone Tour crew neck pullovers, and the Romsey lined knit.
Seasonal upgrades include the Kennedy Hoody, now in Black with Pewter Marl tipping on the inner hood and cuffs, and the Oakways II, which builds on the original hoodie’s success.
Its modern look is highlighted by a new linear logo running down the back. Available in Pineneedle, Pewter, and Black, this makes an ideal autumn/winter garment for both on- and off-course wear.

A new addition to the Oscar Jacobson line is the Alex Waterproof Jacket, crafted with 4-way stretch fabric for unparalleled freedom of movement.
Packed with details that boost both style and performance, it features a 2-way zip for an adjustable fit and a flatter front when addressing the ball.
Contrasting accents on the inner collar, Velcro tabs, inner zip guard, and beneath the zippers enhance its look.
An all-over debossed side panel and subtle logo placements, including a debossed Velcro adjuster logo and a linear logo on the back yolk, add premium detailing.
Available in Black / Pineneedle and Pewter / Black, it’s destined to be a Pro Shop favorite.
The Arlington is a fully waterproof, quarter-zip short-sleeve jacket with a comfortable fit and excellent movement.
Like the Alex, it features a debossed logo on the right chest and the Oscar Jacobson logo on the yolk, with back shoulder seams providing a sleek, modern silhouette.

Also new for autumn/winter are the Baynes Padded Gilet and Beaumont Padded Jacket, both with lightweight fill on the front and across the yolk for warmth and comfort.
Featuring a contemporary chevron and straight-line quilting pattern, they display branding through debossed side panel logos, an Oscar Jacobson repeat print inside, a linear shoulder logo, and the Oscar Jacobson emblem on the back.
Both styles come in Black, Pineneedle, and Navy. In accessories, new colours include the Maidstone and Gillies bobble hats in Pineneedle.
The Haven bobble hat sports a chunky 2-tone knit in seasonal colours, with a fleece lining for warmth and next-to-skin comfort.
