How exciting is Eden Mill’s Golf Gin?

By: April 28, 2025

I struggle to take seriously manufacturers who believe that simply adding the word “golf” to a product’s name will make it appealing to us golfers.

For instance, someone once suggested a sunscreen they claimed was specially formulated for golfers. What makes our skin distinct from other athletes’? That’s just one example.

This reminds me that the independent Scottish distillery Eden Mills is launching its Golf Gin, which will be distilled from botanicals from the iconic Old Course at St Andrews.

Set across 95 breathtaking acres, gorse and heather gracefully frame the fairways and bunkers, while fragrant lavender flourishes in the rooftop garden of the clubhouse, creating a serene haven for all.

Eden Mills’ Golf Gin also includes seaweed.

What does this compare to in terms of what The Botanist Gin offers? The Botanist Gin is a small-batch, artisanal Islay gin that combines 9 classic gin botanicals with 22 local botanicals.

You know, I wouldn’t dismiss Eden Mills Golf Gin! It could be just the thing to help us unwind before a round. What do you think?

If you’re interested in trying Eden Mills Golf Gin, here’s some helpful information.

This London Dry gin will be available exclusively at Waitrose stores throughout the UK starting at the end of April, following a nationwide launch.

Additionally, you can find it on Eden Mill’s website and in their retail locations. Enjoy exploring this new offering!

Eden Mills & the Old Course

Eden Mill’s new distillery, conveniently situated just an 8-minute drive from the Old Course, offers a fantastic view across the Eden Estuary from the 6th hole.

With production of gin and whisky already underway, the distillery is set to elevate the visitor experience by opening a world-class visitor center in August 2025.

This center will provide engaging gin and whisky experiences, a retail space, and a top-floor cocktail bar, where guests can unwind while enjoying breathtaking views of the Eden Estuary.

This development promises to enhance the local area and attract visitors seeking quality distillery experiences.
