Have you noticed the remarkable rise in the popularity and viewership of women’s sports? FIFA reported an astounding 3.2 billion views of their social and digital content for the 2023 Women’s World Cup, and the 2023 U.S. Open women’s final outshone the men’s final in viewership.

In 2024, history will be made at the Paris Olympics with an equal number of male and female athletes competing for the first time.

2024 was a groundbreaking year for women’s basketball. The NCAA Women’s Basketball Championship soared to 24 million viewers, making it the most-watched college basketball game in the past five years and showcasing the sport’s incredible growth and excitement.

According to SponsorUnited’s 2024–25 Women in Sports report, sponsorship investments in women’s sports increased 12% year over year, surpassing the 8% increase observed within men’s professional leagues.

This trend is not merely a momentary surge. It indicates a sustained movement driven by the rising prominence of female athletes, the expansion of leagues, and a cultural shift towards equity, enhanced visibility, and purpose-driven partnerships.

In alignment with this trend, Golf Saudi and the Public Investment Fund (PIF) have announced PIF as the title partner for a restructured global series encompassing five women’s golf events within the Ladies European Tour (LET).

This partnership underscores PIF’s enduring commitment to advancing women’s sports.
