Brian Martorana, a seasoned marketing professional with over twenty years of experience, has joined the Golf Course Superintendents Association of America (GCSAA) as the senior director of marketing and communications.
In this pivotal role, Martorana will lead the strategic direction and management of marketing initiatives, content development, digital platforms, publications, and public relations, all aimed at crafting a comprehensive, data-driven strategy that enhances GCSAA‘s mission and amplifies the voices of its members.

The establishment of this role and Martorana’s appointment highlight the association’s dedication to strengthening the GCSAA brand, emphasizing the value of membership, and showcasing the significant contributions GCSAA members make to their golf facilities and surrounding communities.
Before joining GCSAA, Martorana served as the vice president of marketing at MDaudit, where he focused on innovative technologies and analytics tools.
His background also includes senior marketing positions in both the technology and banking industries, alongside valuable experience in advertising agencies.
Martorana’s team will be strengthened by the inclusion of experienced GCSAA staff members, such as
- Kelly Neis, who serves as senior manager of creative services;
- Angela Hartmann, the director of communications;
- Andrew Hartsock, the editor-in-chief of GCM and director of publications, and
