How can the VOXA & Women’s Golf Day partnership inspire women to take up golf?

By: May 26, 2025

The number of female golfers is not only growing but is also becoming much more diverse. Women now account for a greater share of both beginner and junior golfers compared to their overall presence in traditional golf settings.

Out of the 45 million Americans involved in golfing—whether on- or off-course—33% are female.

This figure increases to 42% among the 18.5 million people who take part only in off-course activities, including golf entertainment venues like Topgolf and the expanding selection of indoor simulator centers such as Five Iron Golf, X-Golf, and Golfzon Social.

Over 7 million females, once considered non-golfers, have expressed a strong passion for exploring traditional golf.

The trajectory of the Women’s National Basketball Association (WNBA) serves as an inspiring example of growth in women’s sports.

The 2024 season stands as a testament to this momentum, showcasing an incredible 36% increase in regular-season viewership on major networks like ABC, ESPN, and ESPN2 compared to the previous year.

Simultaneously, women’s football (soccer) is flourishing with a global renaissance of unprecedented proportions.

One of the factors contributing to this success is the increasing engagement of prominent athletes who are utilizing their influential platforms to advocate for significant social change.

These individuals are emerging as powerful voices on a range of critical issues, including gender equality and social justice.

Their authenticity, relatability, and steadfast commitment to their respective disciplines resonate profoundly with a diverse and engaged audience.

They particularly inspire young women and challenge outdated societal norms and stereotypes in sports.

I’m truly excited about the incredible potential of the new partnership between VOXA, founded by the talented Suzann Pettersen, and Women’s Golf Day!

VOXA will participate in Women’s Golf Day Palooza

VOXA will participate in Women’s Golf Day Palooza, an annual digital event held during the week of Women’s Golf Day (May 27 – June 3, 2025).

This event will feature a special virtual session with Suzann Pettersen, who will share her personal story and the inspiration behind launching VOXA.

She will discuss how creating space for women in sport and inviting friends can transform how women interact with golf, inspiring all to embrace their journey.

VOXA’s remarkable roster of Ronni Yin, Carlota Ciganda, Gaby Lopez, Shannon Tan, and Ashley Lau will passionately participate in Women’s Golf Day and share inspiring messages to encourage participation.

From Major champion and former World No. 1 Yin to Solheim Cup hero Ciganda, and with Latin America’s top player Lopez and Olympians Tan and Lau, each athlete embodies a unique story of excellence and impactful influence.

In celebration of the partnership, VOXA will host a giveaway to rally support in the lead-up to Women’s Golf Day.

Additional merchandise activations are planned around other women’s golf Majors later in the year.
