Oceânico Golf’s latest event the Vilamoura Grand Trophy (one of Portugal’s most significant amateur tournaments; Grande Trofeu Vilamoura) has just ended. Probably this was the most successful event since the first Vilamoura Grand Trophy in 1987.
287 golfers came from Europe (Portugal, UK, Ireland, Germany, Spain, France, Scandinavia and the Netherlands). 50% of the golfers came were from out of Portugal.
8 winners emerged from four handicap categories, with Irishman Paul Kennedy topping the leaderboard with a net score of 218.
