The Surrey-based Burhill Golf Club, one of ten U.K. BGL Golf venues, has appointed Matthew Hazelden as its new general manager. He has got 25 years experience in the leisure sector. This not the first time when he becomes general manager of a golf club: Cottesmore Hotel Golf & Country Club, Hampton Court Palace Golf Club (part of Crown Golf‘s network) and Bletchingley Golf Club.

I hope that Matthew Hazelden will continue the smart initiative of BGL Golf. Namely, attracting youngsters to the golf club by adding adventure golf venues and other engaging activities. This is as important as enticing female golfers to our golf clubs.
BGL Golf already has 4 adventure golf venues, 3 at golf clubs (Abbey Hill in Milton Keynes, Hoebridge in Surrey and Ramsdale near Nottingham) and a fourth at a retail and leisure center in Castleford.
