What Are The Plans For Alpine Country Club With A $6.8 Million Investment?

By: September 27, 2024

The $6.8 million project, part of a 3-phase, 10-year plan at the Alpine Country Club, is scheduled to begin in July 2025 and be completed in Fall 2027.

Renowned golf course architect John Fought was engaged to develop an advanced practice facility and refurbish certain holes at Alpine Country Club, a private establishment in the burgeoning Highland locale, 30 miles south of Salt Lake City.

Nestled amidst the majestic Wasatch Mountains, Alpine Country Club is a distinguished private golf course in Utah. From each hole, you can enjoy commanding vistas of the American Fork Canyon.

Under the management of Troon Privé, the facility hosts numerous local and national events and qualifiers and has a membership base of 390 individuals.

This diverse membership encompasses several collegiate golfers and numerous talented junior players, a notable portion of whom consistently achieve qualifications for the prestigious Drive, Chip and Putt national competition.

Renowned golf course designer Fought significantly enhanced holes 11, 12, and 13 at the golf-centric Club in 2008, followed by the reconstruction of bunkers in 2018.

A new practice facility featuring a driving range is scheduled for construction next year, necessitating the closure of the current facility for 22 months.

Except for the usual three-month winter closure, the 18-hole championship layout will remain accessible to members throughout the renovation process.

The new practice facility will measure 68,000 square feet, a significant increase over the current 19,000 square feet.

The new short game area will grow from 7 to 10.25 acres and include 5 artificial target greens on each side of the fairway, allowing members to practice distance control.

Fought will redesign a handful of holes to allow for the expansion of the practice facility. Other aspects of the project include relining the irrigation pond, landscaping, and a border fence.
