New tool for golf sales

There is an ongoing gossip since the beginning of June that Facebook is planning to launch next to the popular LIKE and Subscribe buttons a new one called WANT. This is probably will look like this:

Why it is important and interesting for the golf industry and golf sales?

Facebook understood/grasped that at the end of the day marketer will ask for ROI and how to use Facebook as a sales channel. If we follow the AIDA model than we can say LIKE button = interest and WANT = desire. This new button is also a sign of propensity to buy something and our challenge to find solution how we can get back to that specific person who clicked WANT on our ecommerce site or social media place (e.g. Facebook) with a bespoke offer or simply just asking how may we can help you. Other benefit is that our product and website can get social exposure and through this credibility. I think this new button can be a great leap toward real social commerce when it will be available for everybody.

So far, Pottery Barn, Wayfair, Victoria's Secret, Michael Kors, Neiman Marcus, Smith Optics, and Fab.com are the retailers that were selected to test the WANT button.
