What will be like playing at the Al Zorah Golf Club?

By: December 14, 2015

After 8 years of planning and developing, Al Zorah Golf Club opened last week (9 December 2015). The new golf course was officially opened by His Highness Sheikh Humaid bin Rashid Al Nuaimi, Ruler of Ajman, as golfers and high-profile government officials watched on (see picture below).

Al Zorah Golf Club is the newest championship golf course (par-72, Nicklaus Design, managed by Troon) of the region. It is interesting to highlight that this is the first golf course in the United Arab Emirates, where there was no golf course construction for over 6 years. More than 300 people worked on the construction where they used 300,000 cubic metres of sand. They also had to cope with over 1.5km of boardwalks.
