Today, more and more golf club managers realize that there is a connection between the pace of play and the golf experience (see customer experience). Managing tee-time intervals properly can contribute a lot to golf experience and improve net promoter scores.
We should also pay attention to controlling the gap time between groups as they play. If you collect the right data you will be able to identify chronic bottlenecks and alleviate them through course setup changes.
By focusing on the most important parts of the customer experience our golf club customers will be more loyal to us and more likely to share their positive experience.
We should use technology with the purpose to make the experience feel more human. Technology is just an enabler. It is not the final solution.
