It is interesting that we hardly talk about Swiss golf clubs, even though it would be worthwhile. Here, for example, is Golf Club Bad Ragaz. Leadincourses.com users ranked it as the 6th best Swiss golf club (8.7/10).
Since the beginning, three generations of the famous Harradine family – Albert Hockey, Donald Harradine, and Peter Harradine – have worked on the development of the golf course.
The Golf Club Bad Ragaz has been a venue for the annual European Seniors Tour for more than 20 years.
The golf course is also the only one in Switzerland to have been awarded 5* Superior by the Golf Course Owners Association and is one of the leading courses in Switzerland.
Golf Club Bad Ragaz & 2022 Swiss Golf Awards
So we are not at all surprised that Golf Club Bad Ragaz was able to win in two categories at the 2022 Swiss Golf Awards:
- “Best 18-hole golf course in Switzerland”;
- The gladys restaurant (Chef: Michael Pilman; 13 GaultMillau points) – “Best Golf Restaurant in Switzerland” for the 3rd and 4th time respectively.
Almost 20,000 Swiss golfers voted on the Swiss Golf Awards in 2022. At the same time, the golf club is proud to be ISO 9001 and 14001 (International Environmental Management) certified.
Ralph Polligkeit – Director of Golf & Sports – said
“The focus on nature and landscape protection and consistent environmental management are indispensable today and an obligation to future generations.
We make a large investment of time and financial resources so that the site is a place of diverse flora and fauna can also be sporting highlights at the same time.
How to use such social proof for golf club marketing
Let’s assume you won a similar award for your golf club/resort. There are many ways you can incorporate such social proof into your marketing activities to build trust and showcase your satisfied customers to potential customers.
These proofs can be placed in places on your website and on offline marketing materials where people have to make a decision. For instance tee time booking. On the Golf Club Bad Ragaz website, I have not found any social proof when I tried to book a tee time.
- Testimonials & reviews are the most obvious and best-known methods. This is why worth asking for reviews from golf club guests to write on Leadingcourses.com, Google My Business page, Facebook, Tripadvisor, etc.
- If you work with some well-known brands, sharing that information publicly is another great way to get people interested in your product or service. E.g. Wilson Golf, Toptracer, Golf Genius Software, Technogym, etc.
- Awards & accolades (like the Swiss Golf Awards, World Golf Awards, Leadingcourses.com, etc.).
- User-generated content: Share your customers’ content on your social media channels! Share your customers’ praises and kind words!!
- Similar to user-generated content, influencer marketing can help you a lot to engage with the right person and gain trust.
- Highlight how many people have already used your services.
If you utilize these techniques, your online and offline sales will skyrocket! Your sales team’s work will be much easier.
