Ocotillo Golf Club – one of the most highly regarded, family-centric daily-fee golf clubs in the greater Phoenix area – has placed a new emphasis on neighborhood hospitality, including a refresh of its restaurant and patio dining areas.
Arcis Golf, which purchased the facility in 2021 and has since been operating the golf course, recently upgraded and assumed management of the culinary operations.
The revitalized, inviting restaurant, which opens onto a spacious outdoor sitting area, is now called Tillo’s Kitchen+Patio and serves breakfast and lunch.
Initially, dinner will be available on Friday and Saturday evenings, but it will soon open on other days as well.
Tillo’s Kitchen+Patio is styled after a hip gastro pub, set off by a spacious outdoor patio showcasing the Sonoran desert scape.
The pet- and family-friendly patio is roomy and comfortable, with multiple fire pits, soft-seating areas, rocking chairs, and large communal tables. Live entertainment will be featured frequently.
Among the culinary highlights are
- the Korean shrimp appetizer (crispy shrimp tossed in house Bulgogi Sauce with fried arbol chilies and fresh lime wedges),
- the French Dip Burger (signature beef patty topped with roast beef and dipped in house-made au jus, topped with sauteed mushrooms, caramelized onions, Swiss cheese, and horseradish cream sauce), and pan-seared salmon with a creamy herb polenta and grilled broccolini.
Open all day, and the restaurant will be the center of dining activity in the community. In the morning, the Starbucks coffee program will bring strong aromas and draw coffee enthusiasts and golfers.
Breakfasts include sweet and savory items, including egg dishes, nutrient-rich bars, and parfaits.
Throughout the day and evening, the menu will allow guests to satisfy cravings with the signature Crushburger menu and a selection of freshly tossed salads and bowls, handcrafted sandwiches, sharable items, fish, and steaks.
The beverage program will revolve around craft cocktails and selection of tequilas and mezcals. An array of local beers on tap (Four Peaks, Huss Brewing, and PHX Beer Co.) and by the bottle will complement the offering. Innovative mixologists have developed an entirely new menu with soon-to-be-favorites:
- Los Cabos Martini (a tequila base with Cointreau and juices for a smooth finish),
- Par-Tini,
- Maricopa Mulligan, and
- the Water Hazard (rum, lime juice, and club soda).
More upgrades and renovations planned for this summer will update the expansive banquet and meeting facilities known as the Overlook Pavilion.
Convenient to Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, Ocotillo Golf Club has an ideal meeting location, with a boardroom and audio-visual services available.
