I waited so long for this decision of USGA and R&A! Now it is official: we cannot use belly putters:
"14-1b Anchoring the Club
In making a stroke, the player must not anchor the club, either “directly” or by use of an “anchor point.”
If we would allow such amendments (belly putter) to golf soon we would loose the essence of the game. For the very same reason I would not allow to use golf carts for golf players (only for those have problem walking and carrying their golf clubs in a golf bag).
I assume golf equipment manufacturers like TaylorMade, Ping, Nike Golf and others will not be happy to read this announcement. It seems to me that in this case business interests were less important.
