As it was expected Nike Golf signed a sponsorship deal with Rory McIlroy. I keep up my opinion that Rory McIlroy could have signed a bigger sponsorship deal with Nike Golf, even he lost an important contract with Jumeirah.
The first TV ad with Rory McIlroy will go live from tomorrow (16th January) and will run on ESPN, The Golf Channel, TSN and Sky Sports. Nike Golf found the right usage humour in his ad. While watching this ad I felt a little inequality between the two golf players for the benefit of Tiger Woods. There are rumours that say this TV spot was shot in last October (2012). What would Titleist say if this turns to be true? If this is true then it is simple a breach of contract. The two golf players were not present together on the shootings due to scheduling reasons. What do you think?
