What a nice initiative to promote golf among women from Wilson Staff. Wilson Staff has just expanded its partnership with Women on Course (WOC), the nation’s premier golf-lifestyle networking organization (hosts more than 20,000 women at 2,000 annual golf and non-golf events) and a division of Billy Casper Golf (BCG).
Wilson Staff will be the organization's "Official Golf Club". Thanks to this partnership, new Wilson Staff customers will receive a complimentary, trial Women on Course Individual Membership not simply to play golf, but with other like minded women on and off the golf course. Wilson will place the WOC logo on the packaging of approximately 50,000 sets of Profile game-improvement golf equipment.
I have to say that this is not the first time when the brand in engaging a female audience. For instance, Wilson is endorsing LPGA Founding Member Patty Berg.
Needless to say, that Wilson is not doing this unselfishly. Today women representing one third of all new golfers. So Wilson is likely to win in two ways. Either WOC members will buy its golf clubs or these people will spread the info among there peers.
