Who can provide real time wearable shot tracker?

By: October 22, 2015

Game Golf launched today, the Game Golf Live, as the golf industry’s 1st wearable, real-time shot tracker for both iOS and Android smartphone platforms.  My latest information about the price of GAME GOLF LIVE is: £159.95 (it might be different).

First, I hoped Game Golf is utilizing the following 2 current trends (see picture below): the popularity of wristband wearable devices (appeals to 42% of online adults; see Microsoft Golf Tile) + the demand for GPS golf watches. Forrester Research found that 45% of US and 32% of European online adults say they are “intrigued” by the prospect of getting a wearable device.

Instead of this we can see only an upgraded product with a new feature. By developing rather an app for Apple Watch or Android Watch it could be a game changer in the battle against archrival Arccos Golf.

Let’s see the changes and innovations in Game Golf:

Game Golf Live follows the original Game Golf Classic product. Game Golf Live will function through the same user interface as Game Golf Classic. You will also be able to connect to PGA Professionals and your friends. Every shot will instantly be displayed on your iOS or Android phone.

With the launch of Game Golf Live, we can find several enhanced features like the New Strokes Gained. This new feature will provide a much better detailed data about our performance. Thanks to this new feature we will know how many strokes are lost during driving, in fairway play, chipping or putting.

Unlike SkyCaddie, Game Golf is helping us to interpret correctly the collected data by providing a detailed TIPS section. The system will also show what we can improve on our golf swing. I believe much of the customer experience depends on how an average golfer can interpret the collected data.

Game Golf Live comes also with an improved mapping system that includes Google Maps, Apple Maps and BING Maps. Fortunately the rangefinder did not remain unchanged neither.

Game Golf believes that with Game Golf Live they are enabling us to develop a data-driven practice program.
