By winning on last Sunday the 2015 Lorena Ochoa Invitational that was held at the Club de Golf Mexico, in Mexico City, Inbee Park got very close to entering the LPGA Hall of Fame. She needs only 1 more point to reach the required 27 points.
The victory was Inbee Park’s 5th win of the season and her 17th LPGA Tour title. This is not a negligible achievement, especially in light of her operation just a couple of weeks ago (because of a cyst on her left middle finger).
Inbee Park’s final result on the 2015 Lorena Ochoa Invitational
Inbee Park finished the tournament at 18-under 270 to win the event. She moved within 3 points of the leader in the Rolex Player of the Year race. Park finished her final round with 8 birdies and no bogies, hitting 13 of 14 fairways and 17 of 18 greens.
Park, who is currently the world’s No 2 ranked player, earned $200,000 for the victory, and is currently second on the money list with $2,570,096.
