Last year, I had already talked about the importance of mobile connectivity in golf club operations (e.g. Powerscourt Golf Club, Las Colinas Golf Club) to improve the communication among employees, but also to help golfers to communicate better with the clubhouse. This is not just about mobile applications, beacons, wearables, but also about golf carts (see the above-mentioned examples).
In 2016, the shift toward the tech-friendly work routine and mobile connectivity will continue. Thus, providing mobile connectivity for our staff and golf club members will be inevitable. This supposed to lead to higher adoption of VoIP and web and cloud-based capabilities.
How St. Andrews Links Trust is adopting mobile connectivity?
I must admit, that I am a big supporter of GPS Industries’ Visage (a joint venture with Club Car). This why I think it is important to share with you the news that the St. Andrews Links Trust has selected Club Car as their official supplier.
By the way, did you know about the St. Andrews Links Trust, that they are overseeing the management and maintenance of the Links courses at St. Andrews – the Old Course, New Course, Jubilee Course, Eden Course, Strathtyrum Course, Balgove Course and The Castle Course?
