I’ve got the impression that Mizuno is trying to take advantage of those innovative solutions in their golf shoes that have proven themselves in their running shoes.
Mizuno has recently revealed two superb, distinct shoe options for Spring/Summer 2020 that will offer golfers practical and stylish choices to suit their requirements.
Mizuno – Wave Cadence Spikeless golf shoes
The Wave Cadence Spikeless is a lightweight golf shoe built for enhanced comfort. This comes courtesy of a new one-piece ‘booty’ structure in which the tongue is connected to the lining to provide a more comfortable fit.
Based on Mizuno’s award-winning Wave Platform, the Wave Cadence Spikeless blends the comfort and support of a high-end running shoe, with the lateral stability and traction needed for golf.
This Mizuno golf shoe model is built with an X10 carbon rubber sole. An extremely durable compound used in high impact areas extends the life of the shoe.
Thanks to the premium soft-touch Kuraray upper the Wave Cadence Spikeless golf shoe model is breathable and waterproof to 20,000mm. You will also get a 2-year waterproof warranty too.
Price: £140 | €150 | 1699 SEK
I prefer this model because of its cushioning at the front part of the golf shoes.
Mizuno – Genem GTX golf shoes
Mizuno Genem GTX is a new full-leather premium golf shoe that has been developed specifically for the European market.
It’s fully waterproof and breathable courtesy of a GORE-TEX® membrane that guarantees optimum climate comfort. The shoe features the lace-free BOA closure system that tightens and loosens via a dial on the side.
The Genem GTX’s IG5 spikes can be tightened and released quickly and even re-aligned for direction. With a soft-feeling PU insole and durable TPU outsole, the shoe offers a blend of comfort and performance.
Price: £220 | €249 | 2699 SEK
The Mizuno Genem GTX and Wave Cadence Spikeless golf shoes will be available from March 2020.
