How can Snyder golf balls encourage us to play more?

Not so long time ago I came across the German Snyder golf balls in the magazine of the German Golf Club Managers Association (GMVD).

Somehow the Snyder golf balls aroused my interest. This is why I invited Klaus-Peter Schneider, the co-founder of Snyder golf balls for an interview.

Why do you think golfers need a new golf ball brand?

With our brand SNYDER, we want to offer the golfer a high-quality ball at an incredibly good price-performance ratio. We want to produce the best golf ball in each category at the best price.

We see an influx of a growing number of people in the 20-35 age group who are interested in playing golf. We enable them to play with the golf model version THEY prefer from a 2-piece model to a 5-piece model.

This is only possible by selling the ball directly to the end customer through our webshop.

How can the European & global golf ball product category grow in 2021?

This product category can only grow if we rejuvenate the image of the sport of golf. In other words, be modern, brave, daring, and unconventional.

The golf clubs are currently enjoying an enormous influx of new members and guests. People are realizing that golf is an attractive sport that can be played in the great outdoors.

We now have to convince the new golfers, among whom there are also many young people, with attractive golf offers and, if possible, bind them to golf for a lifetime.

What is the USP of Snyder golf balls?

We have 5 different golf balls for all categories of golfers. We have three premium golf balls with a high-quality Urethane cover.  Also, a 3- piece and a 2- piece model in 4 attractive nice matte colors.

The prices start from € 1,30 to € 2,70 for each ball. We offer our golf balls not only in conventional colors, but also in unique colors like

  • black,
  • rose,
  • tiffany blue,
  • grey matte,
  • red and yellow matte, etc.

Will you follow the retail strategy of Vice Golf?

We want to have our own retail strategy. The B2C and B2B sales will be carried out via our webshop, but we also want to be present in selected golf clubs’ and resorts’ pro shops.

We believe it is also particularly important to have a personal connection with our customers.

We encourage every golfer to get in contact with us in their preferred communication channel (e.g., social media, website, mobile, email, etc.)

On which customer segment(s) do you focus on + why?

We would like to offer every golfer from beginner to ambitious golfer our golf balls. At the same time, the person should be able to decide for himself/herself which golf ball model he/she prefers.

But also, the price and the design are an important decision criterion. We are also personalizing the golf balls for the golfers. Everybody is welcome to find his own SNYDER golf balls.

Will you sell “Product-Service Systems“?

We would like to help our customers with selected PGA Pros a pro-shop staff to find the right golf model for the person’s level of game and expectations.
