The USGA’s latest U.S. Handicapping Statistics show that the average handicap index in the U.S. is:
- Male: 14 (UK: 17.2)
- Female: 28 (UK: 27.2)
In 2016, I stumbled upon a MyGolfSpy report on golfers’ handicaps. It was inspiring to learn that only 10% of golfers consistently shoot below 80. Are you among these lucky golfers?
I’m curious about why sporting goods manufacturers refer to the inputs and insights they received from tour players. Their knowledge and ability are far beyond regular golfers.
It does not impress me much.
