What is the latest hotel interior design trend that La Cala Resort follows?

By: September 17, 2024

I just received word from La Cala Resort that they will upgrade their hotel rooms.

The planned changes have a modern, slightly retro, and light feel. It seems like sustainability aspects were also considered during the planning/design.

After reading my article, please share your impressions in the comments.

In 2024, I noticed that hotels, not just golf hotels, focus on creating spaces that evoke happiness and a sense of belonging.

This shift moves away from designs that feel overly precious or impractical for everyday living.

Hotels now design comfortable and inviting interiors. They add local art, craftsmanship, and cultural elements to make the hotel rooms and the hotel itself authentic (see sustainability) and provide an immersive guest experience.

I would not neglect creating pet-friendly spaces when building new or upgrading hotels. Many pet owners face challenges when traveling or staycationing with their furry companions.

Let’s discover which path La Cala Resort will follow!

La Cala Resort has announced plans to extensively renovate its 107 bedrooms over the coming 2 winters to freshen things up.

The facelift program will create extra space and introduce more amenities that modern travelers now demand in the 21st century.

The initial focus will see a transformation of the Classic and Superior rooms. The en-suite Deluxe Classic rooms feature a balcony or terrace, air conditioning, and twin or double beds.

Modernization will see them fitted with brand-new furniture, cupboards, fresh décor, and furnishings carefully chosen to reflect the Andalusian lifestyle and heritage tastefully.

There will be easy-access USB sockets to keep even the most gadget-minded of guests charged up and ready, as well as new 55-inch SMART televisions so guests can enjoy their favorite streaming channels while away from home.

Golfers will also welcome the addition of golf bag racks in the new closets.

The larger, light, and airy Deluxe Superior rooms, which feature bigger balconies and terraces and a solarium on the top floor, will enjoy a similarly comprehensive makeover with the addition of a large walk-in closet with ample storage space.

The first phase of the renovation will take place over 3 months, from December 2024 to February 2025, with the hotel remaining fully open from December 26th, 2024, to January 6th, 2025.

The second phase will occur the following winter, with the hotel fully renovated by March 2026.
