I don't know how much do you know about the Darren Clarke Golf brand, but it was launched in 2010. Actually it is a golf school. Since the foundation Darren Clarke Golf School (a 2-year full time diploma) developed couple of promising golf talents among them Allan Dunbar and Paul Cutler who progressed into the European Tour.
Darren Clarke opened in the spring a new Darren Clarke Centre of Excellence at Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa(this is the first in Europe). it is a nice effort of Donnafugata to provide an added value service to attract golfers to its golf courses.
Today Donnafugata Golf Resort & Spa today two 18-hole championship courses, the Links (designed by Franco Piras) and Parkland (Gary Player Signature Design). As Sicily is not a hotspot for golf tourism, golf clubs of the island have to make extra effort to stand out. In addition to this they also have to find the optimum positioning for their golf club.
This is not the first time that a golf club is cooperating with a leading golf school. In June, Troon Golf signed an agreement with Pelz Scoring Game School. In September La Manga Club opened a Leadbetter Golf Academy.
