Stoke Park (also known as Stoke Poges) is joining the Zurich-based ‘umbrella' organisation The Leading Golf Courses of Europe. The number of member golf clubs of The Leading Golf Courses of Europe is now 40 in 13 countries, including Monte Rei, Turnberry Resort.
Stoke Park is the 300-acre, five-star Stoke Park, in Buckinghamshire, which possesses 27 Harry Colt-designed holes of golf and a 49-room five-AA red-star hotel. Stoke Park is famous for the classic golf scene in the James Bond film Goldfinger.
Probably the latest achievement of Stoke Park was in 2013 when Golf Monthly selected as the 8th best pay-and-play golf club in the UK & Ireland. In the very same year Stoke Park received from 59Club Gold Flags in two categories: Golf Resorts and Private Members Club.
