By: January 15, 2015

The Tom Mackenzie-designed golf course at Heythrop Park Resort is upgrading its green team. The resort recruited two senior professionals. Steve Cherry, a 25-year career greenkeeping professional who prepared 17 European Tour events under Alex Hay at Woburn. He heads the new team as estate manager.

Brett Smith is joining as deputy estate manager after spending 14 years at Windmill Village Golf Club in Coventry. With the addition of two new assistant greenkeepers, Tom Coleman and James Rodley, plus recent recruit Ivor Hopkins, Heythrop Park Resort has added 5 new estate and course management staff since spring 2014.

Thus Heythrop Park Resort has a 10-person estate management team. What do you think will they be on the TOP100 courses of Golf Monthly next year?
