I almost started this post by heralding Troon‘s 4 new accolades (within 3 months Troon received awards in 12 categories in total) at the latest Middle East Golf Awards (MEGA). Although The Els Club, Dubai is managed by Troon, now they deserve the spotlight.
Fourfold victory of The Els Club, Dubai
The Els Club, Dubai stole the show by winning in 4 categories:
- “Golf Course Maintenance Team of the Year”
- The Big Easy Bar & Grill received the “Best Food & Beverage Outlet of the Year”.
- “Golf CSR Initiative of the Year” honor for its Els for Autism tournament
- Butch Harmon School of Golf won the “Academy of the Year” prize
Double win of Abu Dhabi Golf Club
The Abu Dhabi Golf Club (also managed by Troon) did not go home empty-handed. They picked up 2 prizes:
- “Best Golf Course Above 500 AED of the Year”
- For hosting of the Abu Dhabi HSBC Golf Championship 2015: “Best Professional Golf Event” for the fan’s experience
