Would you accept The QHotels Collection’s winter membership offer?

How do you prepare for the winter season at your golf clubs? What do you offer to your golf club members and guests? As I read the weather forecasts for winter 2021-22 (in the UK), we can expect long periods of relatively mild, wet, and windy conditions.

Taking advantage of this, The QHotels Collection is preparing to launch its packed winter golf calendar, which includes

  • the annual Winter Opens across its seven resorts in England and Scotland,
  • concluding in December with the Christmas Open sponsored by Moët & Chandon Champagne.

Costing £120 or £160 depending on the resort of choice, the deal is intended to attract new members and promises unlimited golf from Monday to Sunday with no winter greens, winter tees, or fairway mats.

The QHotels Collection has also announced a tempting five-month winter membership deal that will run from November 1 to March 31, 2022, and includes

  • the standard home club playing rights as a traditional membership,
  • as well as a 10% discount in the respective resort’s Pro shops.

This assurance comes as a result of an investment of more than £2million across the resorts this year by The QHotels Collection, with further big investments planned for 2022 and 2023.

At the heart of this year’s work was improved drainage and greenkeeping equipment which will help to protect the courses from the winter elements.

New players will also have the chance to take part in the series of Winter Open competitions that will run over November and December, as the UK’s largest golf resort operator looks to provide plenty of opportunities to golf through the winter period.

Each resort will also be hosting a four-ball Texas scramble event a month later in late November, which players can choose to participate in at a cost of £100 per team.

Into December, golfers will be able to play in the Christmas Open, which this year is in partnership with Moët & Chandon – one of the world’s most famous champagne labels.

The pairs event will feature quality prizes including bottles of Moët & Chandon champagne and full hospitality tickets to a European Tour event of the winner’s choice.
