Almost a month ago I introduced you the new Wilson Staff FG Tour F5 line of woods that will be available from January 2016. Now I can show you from this product family line the Wilson Staff FG Tour F5 irons. Some experts say that these its main competitors: Titleist AP2, Mizuno JPX 850 Forged, Callaway Apex Pro’s, TaylorMade PSi Tours.
Similar to the Wilson Staff FG Tour F5 fairway woods, we will find Fast Fit technology, F-C-D Player Profiling System (Feel – Crossover – Distance) in this forged iron golf club. Wilson has taken the Speed Sole technology (you can also find in Wilson Staff D200 irons) and put it into the new FG Tour Forged iron.
The Speed Sole technology creates a thin face-to-sole transition that expands the sweet spot lower in the face for faster ball speeds and distance in the long and mid irons. Wilson added a stabilizing bar behind the face to provide more forgiveness without sacrificing workability.
The cavity back head forged from 8620 carbon steel provides a combination of feel, feedback and forgiveness on miss-hits. The FG Tour F5 right hand and left hand iron sets include 4-9, PW, GW. A 3-Iron is also available in RH. True Temper Dynamic Gold XP steel shafts, MRC Kuro Kage LB 85 graphite shafts and Lamkin Crossline Black grips are available in both right hand and left hand sets.
