Slowly we can get used to Callaway Golf is coming up with uncoventional technology solutions in product development:
- 2016: Callaway Golf was interested in Boeing‘s aerodynamics knowledge to provide the most forgiving shape for the XR 16 Driver and to achieve more ball speed.
- 2020: for the development of Callaway Mavrik Driver they used artificial intelligence and machine learning.
I thought of mentioning this because they also used an unusual technology solution in the development of the latest Odyssey Triple Track Putters.
Odyssey Triple Track Putters & Hyperacuity
You rightly ask what the heck is hyperacuity. I also asked myself and made a little research to figure it out.
I found the following:
“Vernier acuity is also called hyperacuity because its resolution is 5-10× higher than that of visual acuity. Hyperacuity is the secret behind the precision of a sliding caliper. Hyperacuity corresponds to “recognition of relative position”.
So we can say that Odyssey found a new way to help us to easily improve our alignment for better putting accuracy.
The new Odyssey Triple Track Putters are developed from Callaway’s popular golf ball line, with three lines that are prominently featured at the center of the putter head.
The distinct weighted alignment fangs help you find the right setup at address, and they increase MOI for more consistency at impact.
The multi-material Stroke Lab shaft is engineered to help improve the tempo and consistency in our stroke.
Innovative multi-material shaft saves 40 grams of weight, which is redistributed to the head and grip end of the putter. This completely rebalances the putter for improved tempo and consistency in the stroke.
The Microhinge Star Insert creates a firmer feel and pleasing sound at impact while providing the same roll characteristics of their Tour-proven White Hot Microhinge.
The new Odyssey Triple Track Putters are available from 6/4/20. Pricing: Starting At $249.99.
