Within 8 months Callaway is launching its new Big Bertha B21 driver (Product At Retail Date: 9/10/20).
As I ran through the product description, I didn’t find any significant differences from the previous Callaway Golf Mavrik driver.
Big Bertha B21 driver – features & innovations
Callaway Golf says they’ve created their first high launch driver with an ultra-low forward CG for low spin.
The large Big Bertha head is specifically engineered with internal draw bias weighting to help improve your launch angles and promote a straighter, longer ball flight.
The usage of artificial intelligence (AI) is not totally new to Callaway Golf. In the new Big Bertha B21 driver they continued to utilize it.
In this driver we can find the AI-designed Flash Face SS21 for the same purpose as in the Callaway Golf Mavrik driver where they used AI-designed Flash Face SS20 for fast ball speed across the face.
The face of the driver was built from extremely strong materials that are lighter and stronger than traditional titanium (= Super Strength Titanium) without sacrificing speed, forgiveness and spin characteristics.
Jailbreak + T2C triaxial carbon crown proved to be a good idea. So we will find them in the Big Bertha B21 driver too.
This new driver features a completely new RCH shaft, designed by Callaway to specifically enhance the Big Bertha offering, with an Active Tip Flag section for easy launch. And it comes stock with a Golf Pride Tour Velvet Soft grip.
