By: August 21, 2023

Are you also noticing a lack of buzz surrounding the upcoming 2023 Ryder Cup, despite it being just a month away? Of course, there are bits of news around the event.

This is how we found out:

  • Chervo is an official supplier of the 2023 Ryder Cup;
  • Hilton has been named the Worldwide Partner of the 2023 Ryder Cup;
  • Citi will be a Worldwide Partner for the 2023 Ryder Cup;
  • Golf Channel, Sky Sports, and Fox Sports – official TV broadcasters;
  • Peacock, FuboTV, ESPN+, Sling TV, Hulu+ Live TV, YouTube TV – without cable;

Club Car a Worldwide Supplier of the Ryder Cup, has just delivered 550 cars to Marco Simone Golf & Country Club.

The Germany-based Cart Care Company and Tractor Hire UK, the golf and turf utility cars arrived as the Italian venue heads into the final month of preparations for the biennial event.

Marco Natale, Vice President of Europe Middle East Africa at Club Car, said:

“The logistics to bring hundreds of cars to one location is complex, and I applaud the teams from Club Car, Cart Care and Tractor Hire for working with the Ryder Cup and Marco Simone Golf & Country Club teams to carry this out seamlessly.”

Club Car also manufactured seven custom golf cars for each team – enabling European Captain Luke Donald, U.S. Captain Zach Johnson, and their respective vice-captains to navigate the course quickly.

This is the seventh consecutive European Ryder Cup that Club Car has supported, becoming an Official Supplier in 1997 – a status elevated to Worldwide Supplier earlier this year.

The organizers expect nearly 300,000 attendees to be at Marco Simone from 25 September to 1 October.

Club Car vehicles are also used for emergency response and assisting less-abled spectators.

Tips: B2B Marketing tactics for Club Car

In the latest survey of the Content Marketing Institute, I found that marketers really believe in the efficiency of in-person events. I hope that Club Car will use the week of the Ryder Cup to negotiate face-to-face with its most important business partners.

The event provides an excellent opportunity to create quality content (e.g. white papers, case studies), by highlighting the various Club Car golf carts’ features, performance, and most of their successes.

These contents can be really useful in future sales and marketing activities. Especially, in that moment when our potential customer is thinking about from which company to buy.
