What makes ECCO Golf’s latest special edition capsule collection remarkable?

Puma Golf knows that golf is more than just a game—it’s a lifestyle. Through its collections, we have already become accustomed to unconventional—at least in golf—apparel.

This was the first thing that came to mind when I saw the ECCO Golf special edition capsule collection.

The latest ECCO Golf collection is inspired by the vibrant fashion culture of golf, where shoes and clothing are worn not only on the golf course but also as fashion statements.

This new collection is designed to be playful, youthful, and fashion-forward.


The collection features four limited-edition shoes, each designed to resemble a different ice cream flavor, one of the most universally loved foods.

The shoes come in flavors such as pistachio, stracciatella, raspberry, and hazelnut honey, ensuring that there is something for everyone to enjoy.

Each shoe in the capsule collection features a marble effect that resembles the indulgent swirls of melting ice cream.

The insole of ECCO golf shoes now showcases an ice cream cone-shaped logo, symbolizing golf’s enjoyable and all-embracing essence.


You can find your flavor in the capsule collection, with fresh, or even refreshing, takes on existing shoes, including the Raspberry edition of the women’s ECCO GOLF TRAY with its playful, pink accents.

The ‘Stracciatella’ version of the men’s ECCO GOLF CLASSIC HYBRID, with its white leather and a ‘chocolatey ‘-style outsole, has a penny loafer design that holds a ball marker.

Additionally, the women’s edition of the ECCO GOLF BIOM® C4 is offered in Hazelnut-Honey with rich, brown accents, while the men’s version of the shoe comes in ‘Pistachio’ with green accents.

My comments

ECCO Golf has perfectly balanced contemporary and daring designs, inspiring others to follow in their footsteps.

GWI published an interesting study about athleisure wearers with some great findings last year:

  • Athleisure wearers are only 6% more likely to play sports than the average consumer.
  • In five markets, millennials (69%) and Gen Z (68%) are most likely to wear athleisure at least a few times each week, but Gen X and baby boomers are still key players in the market—nearly 3 in 5 wear it weekly. 
  • Athleisure consumers are more likely to be affluent individuals who seek out premium products and the community around them. 
  • TOP 3 expectations of athleisure: comfort & fit + quality materials + design & style.

Based on this study, ECCO Golf succeeded in developing golf apparel and shoes that meet consumers’ expectations of athleisure golf apparel.
