It is becoming increasingly evident that athleisure is a significant and growing trend in the sportswear industry, including golf apparel.
This presents an exciting opportunity for brands to innovate and cater to consumers’ evolving preferences, seeking style and performance.
I expect athleisure will remain dominant in the fashion industry in 2025. Here are the inspiring athleisure trends to embrace in 2025:
- Sustainability is at the forefront of the athleisure trend. Eco-friendly fabrics are not just a choice but a reflection of personal values.
- Fabrics are more advanced, featuring moisture-wicking properties to keep you dry and stretch technology that moves with you.
- Smooth experience: Without seams, your workout gear feels like a gentle hug, allowing freedom of movement, whether during your golf game or a coffee run.
- Multi-purpose: The athleisure trend emphasizes versatility. Picture a jacket that is perfect for playing golf and appropriate for a casual business meeting. This practicality defines modern athleisure, blurring the lines between sportswear and everyday clothing.
- Luxury athleisure: The athleisure trend has shifted into the luxury sector. High-end designers are creating pieces that merge opulence with athleticism, demonstrating that comfort can be both chic and sophisticated.
Let us examine how Galvin Green‘s new collection, Galvin Green CONCEPT, aligns with the trends mentioned above.
Galvin Green CONCEPT collection
Galvin Green aims to attract more fashion-conscious golfers by launching an all-new CONCEPT sub-collection featuring a host of contemporary designs that unite golf and streetwear styles.
The new collection comprises 14 distinctive garments and accessories in refreshing patterns and colors without compromising the renowned Galvin Green technical performance benefits.
Themed around a supremely fashionable and refined camo look in color combinations of Duck Green, Orange, and Black, the striking line-up covers all the brand’s layering categories –
- DRYVR™ waterproof jackets and pants;
- windproof INTERFACE-1™ tops; warm INSULA™ sweatshirts and accessories and
- cool VENTIL8™ PLUS shirts and pants – to ensure golfers look the part both on and off the course, whatever the weather.
Among the DRYVR™ rainwear pieces is the 100% waterproof ARGUS full-zip hooded jacket and matching ADRIAN pant in the responsibly sourced and highly breathable Pertex® Shield Stretch fabric, offering uncompromising stretch during the golf swing and in day-to-day life.
The jacket, which is available in all black or a bold Duck Green and Black style, features square paneling throughout the design, a unique adjustable hood with a front collar and large sleeve cuffs for an individual appearance, and two front pockets.
The pants, available in Duck Green and Black, incorporate an elasticated waist and zip-free front and back pockets for a totally different look from other Galvin Green waterproof trousers.
Offering matching or contrasting colors, the rain suit delivers a standout appearance that looks the part both on the course and on the street.
The LUKE INTERFACE-1™ windproof half-zip jacket is a great option to wear in casual settings and during light rain and windy days on the course.
It features a side stripe made from a high ribbed printed panel to catch the eye, while adjustable pullers on the hood deliver a perfect fit. Brand logos are placed on the back and left arm of the garment.
Galvin Green CONCEPT release – 2
There are two stylish INSULA™ sweaters—the DIAZ half-zip sweater with a geometric panel inspired by the splash of sand from a bunker shot and the single-tone DANTE crew neck in solid Duck Green, Orange, and Black for a truly current look.
Ideal choices for chilly days, the INSULA™ pieces are complemented by a pair of matching accessories—the DREW beanie hat in contrasting Duck Green and Black and the DEREK snood with an enlarged circular camo GG logo in three colors.
Complementary NATHAN trousers and PERRY shorts made from sturdy fabric are a standout feature of the line.
Two VENTIL8™ PLUS polo shirts, MAGNUS and MIRZA, are designed in incredibly striking designs. These garments ensure the stylish golfer can confidently sport them both on and off the golf course.
Finally, the line is completed by the MASON t-shirt with a chest pocket, the SAMUEL five-panel cap, and the STANLEY bucket hat.
My remarks on the Galvin Green CONCEPT collection
The orange color selection was an excellent choice. One of the best things about the new collection is that we can wear almost every item for nearly all kinds of occasions, and it lets us move freely!
However, there is currently no clear information regarding the use of sustainable raw materials in their products.
I would encourage them to consider highlighting sustainability in their practices. In July, I reported that 83% of garments in the latest Galvin Green collections were produced using sample-tested, bluesign®, or Oeko-Tex® Standard 100-approved fabrics.
Please correct me if I am wrong.
