What did Monster Golf Club spend $40 million on?

Monster Golf Club in Monticello, New York recently reopened for public play following a $40 million investment from Resorts World Catskills (RWC). The late summer/early fall preview season will allow golfers to experience the completely redesigned golf course by Rees Jones.

Troon Golf is managing the golf operations, agronomy, retail, and sales and marketing for the course.

During the nearly five-year redesign project, Jones used holes and corridors from the former Monster Golf Course, originally designed by Joe Finger in 1963, and the Old International Course to create the all-new 18-hole layout.

Similar to the former Monster, the new Jones-design will tip out at 7,650 yards from the ‘Monster Tees’ and will play to a par of 72, challenging low-handicappers with its length and large undulating greens.

However, six sets of tees will ensure the new golf course is less scary and more enjoyable for all golfers.

Golfers playing The Monster will ride in the newest E-Z-GO golf carts equipped with lithium-ion and GPS technology. The well-appointed and fully stocked golf shop is located inside The Alder, Resorts World Catskills’ newest boutique lifestyle hotel.

Golf cart fleet management

Introducing a high-end golf cart fleet management system like IOTee would be a valuable addition, especially if they are already in the process of modernizing their golf cart fleet.

IOTee ensures that your golf club guests can comfortably access the golf carts even before/after normal working hours, such as for twilight rounds or early morning tees.

In other words, empower your guests to hire carts at their convenience, boosting your revenue and maximizing the turnover of your fleet.
